Qualifying elementary, middle and high schools are eligible to receive waste reduction items or educational materials, with a value of $200. Applications are accepted from September 1 through October 31, but funds are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. 

SWANCC will make a joint purchase on the school’s behalf for reusable food containers/lunch bags/beverage bottles, recycling bins, composting equipment or resource materials. These items are consistent with SWANCC’s goal of encouraging the practice of waste reduction by reducing the amount of generated waste materials, also known as source reduction, and recycling as much of the remaining waste stream as possible.
