The Illinois Department of Agriculture has expanded the Emerald Ash Borer Quarantine Zone to all of northeastern
http://www.agr.state.il.us/eab/
This will allow the Agency to take regulated landscape waste to compost facilities within the expanded Quarantine Zone without grinding; therefore, SWANCC will discontinue the $18 EAB surcharge. Since the transfer station will no longer be grinding, there will be a 4” maximum on the diameter of branches brought to the transfer station (at the $57.00 rate).
The Glenview Transfer Station landscape waste rates will go back to the original rates:
Landscape Waste Rate: $57.00 per ton
Logs: $80.00 per ton
Hard to Handle Waste*: $80.00 per ton
*To be determined by the facility manager.
